I lived here for two years and at first I thought it was a good deal because the rooms were big and the furniture looked nice for the price. That completely changed once the real issues started. There were homeless people constantly in the stairways and in the alleys doing drugs, and since the elevators were always broken you were forced to take the stairs without knowing if you were even safe. People were always posting ring footage of random strangers wandering the hallways. There is also no real dog park and the courtyard was always full of dog poop because people never cleaned up after their pets. The lack of management presence made everything so much worse. Nobody is actually located inside the building, so if you need help you literally have to walk blocks away to another property. Every apartment should at least have a front desk, but here you just feel ignored. The worst part of my whole time here was when only my unit flooded. The entire floor of my room was soaked. My bookshelf got destroyed, every book on the bottom shelf was ruined, including childhood books I grew up with. My school iPad got damaged, my backpacks were soaked, and nothing was salvageable. Management did basically nothing. They brought in a giant industrial diffuser, left it in my room for days, and made me deal with nonstop noise the whole time. They did not reimburse me. They did not apologize. They did not offer even a small gift card or any kind of support. They showed no care at all. And the worst part is that the flood was one hundred percent their fault. Management told me themselves that the issue came from them not having proper insulation between the garden bed and the wall of my bedroom window, so water came in from underneath. Because the damage was due to the apartment’s own negligence, my renters insurance would not cover anything. They told me it was the apartment’s fault, but the apartment still refused to help. I lost books that meant a lot to me, personal items, school items, and they did nothing. They even made a rude comment like “oh big Harry Potter fan?” while I was standing there looking at all my ruined childhood books. It felt so disrespectful and dismissive. Overall this was one of the worst living experiences I have ever had. I would tell anyone considering this place to really think twice. If I could put this in flashing lights I would: do not live here.

Since the new management stepped into the role that the Quarters could not fill properly, I have had a great experience with them. Through signing a renewal and a couple maintenance issues, I found their help extremely professional, quick and caring. There are issues with every apartment building but the service I have received has been nothing short of exceptional.

Avoid The Quarters – Awful Experience DO NOT LIVE HERE! If I could give zero starts I would. Living at The Quarters was a nightmare. I was scammed out of hundreds of dollars over a TV and management never resolved the issue. Our water bills skyrocketed from $30 to over $400 without explanation, and despite countless emails and office visits, management did nothing for months. The management doesn’t give care about its residents at all. They employ tactics like pretending there’s no manager in the office and ignoring calls and emails for weeks at a time to avoid paying you the money they owe. My roommate and countless others have gotten stuck in the elevator, and the garage gate was always broken, leaving residents vulnerable to attacks from homeless individuals. There are also no amenities, and the rent is ridiculously high for what you get. Save yourself the trouble and choose one of the newer high-rises with better amenities, lower rent, and management that actually cares unless you want to be scammed.
