Bowen River Oaks

I recently visited Bowen River Oaks, and I was genuinely impressed. The building is modern, exceptionally clean, and looks very well-maintained. The amenities feel upscale and thoughtfully designed, giving the whole place a luxury yet comfortable vibe. I also want to highlight Elijah, the concierge. He was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and professional. He went out of his way to assist and made the experience feel personalized and effortless. Employees like him make a huge difference, excellent customer service. Highly recommended.

Extremely unprofessional and unacceptable experience. During the tour, the leasing agent, Mark, was on his phone most of the time. I was assured I would be approved before paying $400 in non-refundable fees. After completing an invasive third-party background check, that takes 5 days, Bowen River Oaks went completely silent. I had to repeatedly call and physically go to the office while staying in a hotel just to get answers. Ten days later, I was told I was declined due to “unverified employment.” When I contacted my employer’s HR directly, they confirmed no one from the property or their screening company ever contacted them no call, no email, no attempt to verify anything. I’ve since seen multiple reviews describing the exact same issue, which makes this feel like a pattern rather than a one-off mistake. $400 in application fees was taken, nothing was resolved, and no accountability was shown. For comparison, I now live in a high-rise in the Post Oak area, where the application process was fast, transparent, and handled professionally from start to finish. The difference was night and day. Do not waste your time or money applying here!!!

I’ve been a resident here for nearly 3 years, and like any place, it has had its ups and downs. However, I’ve experienced far more ups than downs. The community here is welcoming, especially the concierge and valet staff, who always go the extra mile. The cleaning staff is consistently diligent, ensuring the building smells fresh and looks spotless every day. The views are stunning, with beautiful sunsets and sunrises that truly enhance the living experience. For anyone considering their first high-rise living or even their first apartment, I highly recommend this place. It’s conveniently close to everything—Target, Central Market, and the River Oaks Shopping Center. Above all, I always feel safe here.
