I cannot say enough great things about the apartment staff especially Leah! She is amazing friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. The maintenance team is always going above and beyond to make sure all things are take care of. Every interaction has been positive, and they truly care about their residents..So thankful for all they do!!

Now that said that the elevator is extensive, please be honest Lamar union. When is the first time the elevators went down. This has been going on for 1.5. I could have built an elevator by now. Also, I do live at Lamar union, I don’t want LU to harass me so I don’t use my name. Don’t let their projection steer you away from the fact that what they are doing is disgusting to residents. What are the betting props on if we will be robbed or obtain a new elevator first, this might be the 20th ai generated message in 2 years Hello Lamar Union Residents, As you are aware, we have been challenged with a non-working elevator in Building 1. Upon the breakdown, we promptly engaged the manufacturer/servicer of our elevators as well as our private elevator consultant to assess issue. We learned that the primary parts needed to fix the elevator were not readily available and would need to be manufactured. We were provided with an estimated repair timeframe of early January based on the estimated manufacturing and delivery timeframe from the parts supplier. Our elevator servicer advised us this week that the required parts were delayed in manufacturing, thus delaying their ability to complete the repair. Upon receipt of this news, in an effort to expedite service, we reached out to alternative elevator contractors; however, they advised an even longer timeframe for completion and couldn't firmly stand behind their timeframes as they would have the same issue attaining the parts needed. As of the time of writing this letter, we are working with our elevator manufacturer/servicer and our consultant to attain a firmer progress update from the parts supplier/manufacturer on when we can realistically expect to receive the parts to complete the repairs. We know this outage has caused inconveniences and longer waits with heavier traffic sharing the other operable Building 1 elevator. We sincerely apologize for this and appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to work toward a resolution. We will continue to provide you with updates as we attain better information.

Review It’s been about 2.5 months since moving into this complex. Since moving in: 1. the one working elevator has been broken twice leaving residents to use the stairs- imagine those that are handicap, pregnant, etc. 2. maintenance has continuously come in without our permission not once, not twice, but THREE times. We’ve called the front office to complain and nothing changes. When we make maintenance requests, we always state that we do not want anyone entering if no one is home. It is such an invasion of privacy and makes us feel unsafe and unheard. 3. The carpets are filthy. This is partly due to the other residents who live here but they let their dogs pee on the carpet. I’ve noticed it mostly by the elevators. You can see the puddle stains and of course it smells. Even the wooden floors throughout the complex needs to be replaced with at least darker wood. The light brown wood looks permanently stained with dirt. 4. I see the custodian on the first floor mopping but I’ve never seen her actually enter the elevator and clean it. The floors are always riddled with random trash, leaves, dirt, etc. The lighting is dim, it smells. It’s just not very clean. Additionally, since moving in, one of the two elevators has been broken. I’m a fairly new resident but apparently that elevator has been broken for months now from what I’ve been told by my neighbors. It’s gotten to the point where someone in the building has posted a QR code asking us residents to complain and leave a review. I wanted to give it time before doing so but after another incident of one of the maintenance men coming in without anyone being home- I have to leave a review. I really wanted to like this place but it’s stuff like this that makes it such a turn off to live here. And with having one of the two elevators having been broken for some time now, when the only working elevator went down- you’d think that was a clue to fix BOTH elevators, yeah no. They’ll fix the one and go about their day. We get emails saying that they’re waiting for an elevator part. This does not soothe anyone but them. There’s no compensation for all of this nonsense. With the right management, I could see this being a nice place to live but there’s definitely some changes that need to be made.
