I lived here for a year, and the experience was nothing like what you’d expect from a so-called luxury building. The egos on parts of the staff are out of control. From the day I moved in, I was treated with suspicion rather than professionalism. On move-in day, I was accused of vaping because of a faulty smoke detector instead of staff taking responsibility for a building issue. That set the tone for how residents are handled here. There is a serious culture problem in this building. Management and front desk staff appear to operate from an ideological/wokeness, compliance-first mindset rather than a service-oriented one. The environment feels shaped by rigid DEI-style corporate thinking, where assumptions are made about residents and dissent or individuality is not handled well. There is not a single straight white male on staff. Throughout the year, I felt monitored, talked down to, and treated as a problem rather than a customer. I was even told by staff that “my time is just as valuable as the maintenance team’s,” which may be true philosophically, but is an incredibly dismissive way to speak to a resident paying premium rent in a high-rise marketed as luxury, who lives on the 30th floor. Respect here feels conditional and begrudging. Instead of hospitality, the dominant tone is enforcement. Front desk and leasing staff often come across as defensive and resentful toward residents who are successful, independent, or expect professional treatment. This creates a tense, adversarial atmosphere that feels far more like institutional management than luxury living. Even basic operational processes felt off. In my experience, required paperwork and clear communication around lease procedures were not handled transparently, which raised serious concerns about professionalism and accountability. Adding to the dysfunction, residents and maintenance staff are funneled through the same elevators, reinforcing the sense that this building prioritizes control and optics over thoughtful design and resident experience. I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for unbounded luxury, personal growth, or a calm, high-trust living environment. It feels more like a high-end millennial prison driven by corporate ideology than a true luxury residence. If you’re moving to Texas to escape the chaos and politicization found in places like California, this is not it. edit: James & Michael at the front desk are cool. maintenance staff does a good job, especially Julian.

I had an amazing experience living in this building, and a huge part of that is thanks to Anthony and Nate at the front desk. They are truly the heart of the community. Every day, they greeted residents with genuine warmth and professionalism. Whether it was helping with packages, answering questions, or just brightening my day on my way in and out, they were consistently thoughtful and dependable. Their kindness and attentiveness made the building feel like home. Anthony and Nate deserve major recognition for being exceptional at what they do. Julian is hands down one of the best maintenance professionals I’ve ever encountered. Every maintenance request was handled quickly, thoroughly, and with such care. He is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful, and he always made sure everything was done perfectly before leaving. His work ethic and attitude truly elevated my living experience. Residents are lucky to have someone as dedicated and reliable as Julian supporting the building.

I love living at Northshore! The location, units, and amenities are great, but what really puts this property above others is the amazing concierge (specifically James, Anthony, and Nate!), leasing, and maintenance staff. Communication is always prompt and work orders are completed quickly (shoutout to Julian!). I definitely feel valued as resident!
