Pearl Washington

I applied to The Pearl Washington and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the leasing office. I submitted my application on November 20th and did not receive any follow-up communication regarding my status or move-in requirements until December 1st, when I reached out myself. I understand Thanksgiving week was during that period, but even with the holiday, applicants with upcoming move-in dates should still receive basic communication. When I called to get clarity about my move-in costs, the interaction with the Assistant Manager was unprofessional and confusing. I was placed on hold and the call abruptly disconnected with no courtesy call back. When I called again, I was told she had stepped away, which did not match the timing of the call. The leasing agent I spoke with did not offer proactive support or meaningful follow-up until I requested it. The lack of communication, inconsistency, and dismissive handling of my questions made me uncomfortable with moving forward. I have been renting for over a decade with no issues, and this was not the level of service I expected. I do want to note that Grace was amazing—professional, kind, and the only reason I was initially excited to lease here. My concerns are strictly about the interactions that occurred afterward with other staff members. Due to the overall experience and lack of clear communication, I chose to cancel my application. I hope management addresses these concerns so future residents have a smoother and more professional leasing experience.

This location used to be great, but lately it feels like management has declined significantly. Building maintenance has noticeably decreased, and it often seems like repairs aren’t being prioritized. Elevator C (the freight/move-in elevator) has been out of service for about three months with zero updates to tenants. This has caused long wait times for the remaining elevators, which is extremely inconvenient. The hallways and amenities also aren’t being maintained as clean as they used to be. The maintenance and leasing staff are friendly and helpful, but management really needs to get things back on track. At the very least, residents should receive regular updates about major issues affecting the building.

This property has seriously declined in quality. Management shows little concern for maintaining the building. While the staff are polite and willing to assist when asked, the overall condition of the property is unacceptable. • The elevator on my side has been out of service for months with no ETA for repair. The lobby elevator is also frequently down, leaving residents with unreliable access. • The stairwell near the moving elevator (which has been broken for months) smells terrible, and the doors are damaged with no signs of repair. • The gym keeps missing dumbbells, only one mat, and a carpet that smells. It’s frustrating to pay a maintenance fee when the building feels like it’s falling apart. I used to love living here because of the amazing location, but now I can’t wait for my lease to end so I can move. It’s disappointing to see such a great property neglected.
