Platform II

Overall, I’ve enjoyed my 2+ years at Platform! Great unit, responsive maintenance team, and nice amenities! Multiple pools and gyms are a plus, and I appreciate the ample parking. 4 stars just because the management has been so-so in previous years, but I really love the new management that recently took over! Mahan and Carlos have been wonderful to work with and far more responsive than some of the team before (except for John - he was great, before - but he left). I recommend living here for a nice apartment in a great location!

Safety and management practices at Platform have been a serious concern during my nearly three years living here. 1. The unit next to mine was the subject of a law-enforcement operation involving a SWAT team. Tear gas canisters were deployed into the building. Residents were given no explanation before or after the incident, and management provided no details about what occurred or what steps were taken to ensure resident safety. I have video of this incident. 2. My car was broken into in May 2023. There are no security cameras covering the parking area, and management offered no meaningful assistance or follow-up after the incident. 3. Maintenance accessed my apartment for a scheduled request and then left their key in my door, leaving my unit unsecured for several days while I was out of town. This was a major breach of basic safety and trust. 4. There have been ongoing structural and condition issues throughout the property. Exterior construction defects required renovations that dragged on for years. Additionally, a portion of the parking deck showed visible structural failure and was closed off. While repairs appear to have been made, that area remains unusable. Overall, my experience has been marked by repeated safety lapses, poor communication, and long-standing building issues. I would strongly caution anyone considering living here to carefully weigh these factors.

It’s a neat apartment for those who are looking for a slightly upscale living with not-downtown price and traffic. The new management is dedicated and tirelessly works for giving the best experience for their renters.
