Reverie At River Hollow

Recently moved in and asked maintenance to complete a service request. Jonathan was fantastic–considerate and friendly and didn't stop until he got the job done! Above and beyond service. The leasing agents have also been phenomenal and very accommodating. I worked with Janet and she's continued to help me beyond the signing of my lease. Very happy with my experience at Reverie thus far!

This place was a nightmare during the tree months we lived there! We moved in shortly after hurricane Beryl as a temporary home due to the damage our home suffered from the hurricane. We thought the property looked beautiful and just after entering our unit we thought it was wonderful. After closer inspection of the unit, I was absolutely horrified. There was dog hair all over the base boards especially the kitchen and the bathroom shower and bathroom floors were dirty and covered in prior tenants hair or you could see the pink scum that accumulates on a shower from not being cleaned. They did clean the vanity and toilet. I had to point it to them so they could send housekeeping to clean but the first time she just unloaded the dishwasher until she arrived while my husband was there and handed her the phone, so I could tell her what she needed to clean in Spanish. I sure did get a lot of pushback. There were roaches in the hallway all the time and at one point I noticed them dead near our front door. We had pest control come in monthly to try to combat the roach problem. I lived in the old condo complex Inverness across the highway when I first moved to Houston and never had a roach problem unlike this roach magnet Reverie. Second, the dryer unit was not working when we first moved in and after a week of waiting for a replacement I noticed the handyman damaged the closet door during the installation. You’d think he’d point it out but no, so I made note of it as I had a feeling they’d try to put it on us. Third, the fridge had to also be replaced during our short stay due to ice maker not working. The gate was always broken and cars were broken into. And last but not least, my husband and I noticed it would get very humid in the unit at times, and eventually I found the carpet in the guest bathroom closet wet and mold growing on the baseboard. Apparently, the shower head connection inside the wall was leaking and spraying water inside the walls every time we used the guest bathroom shower. The water was so high it was leaking into the ceiling because I noticed water stains on the kitchen ceiling around the same time we had the wet closet carpet. I guess that was the reason for the humidity. I noticed weeks before leaving they had some other major leak down the hall because they air movers to dry the wet hall carpet. I started to notice the plumbing truck at the site almost daily since I would take a walk in the morning. People did not pick up their dogs waste though they did have someone clean the exterior property and I saw him picking up dog waste. One instance we had an issue with the security system in our unit and tried to reach someone after hours to help tell us how to turn off the alarm but there available number answered, I heard a man grunt and hang up. All calls after that were sent to vm. The property is very nice from the outside and the shared amenities are beautiful BUT that’s were it all stops. For the price you pay for this property it is an utter disappointment and I would not recommend.

I relocated from Dallas and had a short window for application submission, acceptance and move-in, but the team was incredibly accommodating and communicative throughout. I especially want to highlight Gerald, who was very helpful, friendly, and has a great attitude. The team, especially Gerald, has consistently been responsive whenever I've had questions, requests, or issues. Furthermore, the location and safety of this area, tucked between the Galleria and River Oak/Post Oak, is excellent. Thank you for providing a positive living experience.
