I have lived at The Edge for two years and have loved every single minute of it. The property is clean and beautifully maintained, and the maintenance team is quick, and responsive. The only issue I had was a slight HVAC Issue which was resolved within the week of my issue. Safety has always been a huge priority for me, and I’ve felt completely comfortable calling this home. The location is unbeatable and perfect for South Charlotte living. Everything you need is walkable, parking is a breeze, and it makes daily life so convenient. The neighbors are friendly, the community is welcoming, and the staff goes above and beyond. They’re so outstanding that my dog insists on stopping into the front office most afternoons just to see his favorite people! If you’re looking for a safe, clean, well-managed place in a prime location, The Edge is absolutely the place to be. I couldn’t recommend it more!

I am leaving this review here ONLY because of the great work and service from our maintenance man Zach! We have been living here for 3 years and he has been the only exceptional maintenance! He proactively noticed an issue with our dryer unit due to a leak in the apartment below us, and took care of it before we even put in a maintenance request. Hope he gets promoted, as he goes above and beyond!

I lived here for two years from 2023-2025. I moved to a different unit in 2024. Both times when I moved in, the rooms were dirty, be it my personal room/ bathroom or the main areas. In my second apartment, the air filter in the main living space looked like it hadn't been changed in countless months. My first year, when I moved in, the shower faucet was hanging on by poorly applied caulk and there was a literal hole in the shower wall. The second year, when I moved in, I found a shirt and a utensil from the previous tenant under my bed. Regardless, the rooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned at all. The front gates were always broken as well as the side gates that kept non-residents out from the campus side. BOTH years I received the wrong mail key upon moving in. The first year in 2023, when my roommates and I informed the front desk that we were given the wrong keys and needed the correct ones, we were told by the front office staff that they had accidentally "GIVEN OUT the master mail key to a resident". Whether that is true or not, I don't know for sure, however it took weeks, if not a month for us to get the correct mail key. When I switched units for the 2024-2025 school year, I had numerous problems in my room, the most important one being my fan. The ceiling fan in my room rattled and squeaked when it was on and shook so vigorously, I was worried it may collapse. I put in a service request for it THREE times because the first time there were multiple problems within one service request, which one of the several problems I reported was fixed, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The second time, they CLOSED the case without even contacting me. I also had informed them about the fan in a near identical description in my service request as I described here. I put the initial two requests in during August, and the third in October because I wasn't even aware that they closed my service request and marked it as "Work Completed". There were wifi outages at least once a month and took hours, if not all day, to get resolved. Lastly, I am being charged for damages that I didn't do. I marked it in the unit condition form they require you to fill out upon moving in AND moving out that there are scuffs and marks on the wall upon my arrival, and they initially charged me $120. I was told to contact balance disputes to resolve my issues, which I initially contacted on September 17th and hadn't heard back from them until October 8th. In that email that I received on October 8th, they informed me they removed one of the damage charges because one of them “was a duplicate". If I hadn't inquired, I would've been charged an EXTRA $50 by mistake (for damage that I didn't even do and outlined clearly in my unit condition forms during move-in/out). To conclude, in my experience this apartment complex has been nothing but careless, irresponsible, unclean, and unhelpful. I would think that because they are charging so much for damages and cleaning fees, the rooms would be in better condition prior to moving in. The only reason I stayed was because of their location and how close it was to campus. If I were willing to commute, I would have subleased out the first year.
