I recently had a tour with Diego as I was weighing my options between a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom apartment. He showed me several different units, all of which were very clean and well maintained. I also appreciated that many of the apartments are located within the interior of the community, which made it feel quieter and more private—especially for a newer property. When I arrived for my tour, Diego was fully prepared, making the process smooth and efficient. We were able to go straight to viewing the apartments without any delays. I didn’t tour the amenities since I’m not really an amenities person, but that didn’t take away from my overall impression of the property. One thing I did notice was that some residents leave trash bags outside their doors. While that isn’t ideal, it wouldn’t stop me from living here, since it’s more about individual habits than the community itself. Overall, this is a solid property and definitely a top contender for me. I had a great experience and would recommend touring with Diego if you’re considering this community.

The customer service I received throughout the entire process was exceptional. Every step, from the initial tour, the application process and finally moving was seamless and stress-free. The manager Cris was always available to answer questions and provided timely updates, which truly enhanced my experience. If you’re looking for a place to call home, I highly recommend leasing with The Kelsey!!

Looking for a decent place to live? Keep looking… This is a long review but if care for your wellbeing, safety, and pets, this is the review for you. Allow me to provide you some help since management clearly doesn’t have the capability. IMPORTANT INFO TO KNOW WHEN READING OTHER REVIEWS: many of the “good” reviews are people who work for the Kelsey, affiliated with apartment, or apartment finders. Take the other reviews with a grain of salt. Before management tries to explain this away (which is their favorite thing to do), here are the excuses they might use and why they don’t hold up: • “We can’t control what other residents do.” Then explain why, at the very start of my lease a year ago, I walked into the stairwell and saw a trash can that someone had clearly defecated in — and it sat there without being addressed. Explain why I lived under a balcony where urine and feces would drip down. Explain why bikes and packages are stolen regularly with no improvement in security. Explain why homeless individuals were allowed to sleep in the bike wash and pet wash areas — and, more seriously, why we actually found homeless people living inside Building 3 before they were escorted out. None of this was ever communicated to residents. • “We have active security on site.” I’ve seen what you call security. Late at night, the guard is often sitting in his car watching TV. One night I was walking my dogs, approached at a normal pace, and startled him so badly it was clear he wasn’t paying attention to anything around him. And when I asked about it, I was told at one point that the security was there for the construction — not for the residents. That alone shows where priorities really are. • “The gates and property are secured.” Then why are the gates often left wide open, allowing anyone to walk in and out? Why do residents repeatedly deal with thefts and trespassers while management looks the other way? • “Maintenance is working on it.” Where? The trash area is still overflowing and disgusting, and the onsite shops are unmaintained, which only adds to the feeling that no one cares about this property’s condition. • “We’re busy.” Everyone is busy. But when you manage an apartment community, basic safety, communication, and upkeep are not optional. • And lastly their favorite word “I’m sorry”. Sorry tend to lose meaning after repeatedly saying it without any actual quantifiable actions. Concerns are never properly addressed and are followed by a guaranteed half ass’d “I promise im going to make this my top priority”. What a lie. If management was pinoccio, their nose would be reaching halfway down the road to Round Rock. ⸻ I moved to The Kelsey excited for a fresh start in Austin. Instead, I got: • Locked out of my own apartment without warning despite being told everything was fine. • Repeated thefts, unsanitary conditions, and a trash area that’s never properly handled. • Homeless individuals sleeping in amenity areas and even living inside Building 3 before they were escorted out — with no proactive communication to residents. • Gates left open, and security guards sitting in cars watching TV instead of protecting residents. • Management openly admitting their so‑called security is actually there for construction, not for us. • And yes, at the very beginning of my lease, a trash can in the stairwell with human feces left sitting there, completely ignored. This is not how you treat paying residents. I hope this review saves someone else from the stress, disrespect, and frustration I’ve experienced. There are plenty of other communities in Austin that actually value their residents — this is not one of them. To prove the validity of my statement I provided some photos that were taken the same day as I post this review. I would add more but I don’t think google would like me to post urine and feces for the public to see. Oh and funny thing. We pay for a trash valet that has no option to cancel. At least the valet put it all in one place so the rest of us can see… and yes this trash area is always like this.
